Employment Specialist; Job Coach & Developer
Catherine Llwyd has been finding, securing and creating job opportunities for persons with disabilities since 2008 secure jobs for persons with disabilities.
For those clients unable to work due to permanent and substantial disability, Catherine researches current case law and legislation, helping clients apply for permanent diability benefits.
As a Job Coach, Catherine assists clients in the development and application of job readiness skills and job search strategies.
Using current marketing strategies and effective research skills, Catherine collects labour market information for clients regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements.
Catherine teaches clients how to use assistive technology, including computer software and hardware, write resumes and prepare for job interviews. Clients are not alone on the job, rather Catherine counsels workers on work, and career-related issues, and will join clients and employers, as needed at work sites to ensure smooth transitions.
In addition, Catherine provides consulting services to organizations that provide community-based career planning resources.
